Paul Scholes admitted that David De Gea can leave Manchester United to join Real Madrid as it would be completely understandable – he is the world’s best keeper and he has a special connection with the city…

De Gea used to play for Atletico Madrid before he joined the Red Devils and he has become one of the key figures of the team since then – and he has been terrific this season under José Mourinho. However, Real Madrid are ready to bring him back to Spain and this move is likely to happen…

The former Manchester United midfielder spoke about De Gea’s situation as he said, according to Daily Star:

“I think it will be difficult to do that if Real Madrid want him.”

“He’s obviously showing he’s the best goalkeeper in the world and if Madrid want him you can understand David wanting to go there, as much as we don’t want him to.”

“We can understand he’s from Madrid and would be playing for a team that would be challenging for the Champions League season after season.”
