Ozil is falling out of favor with Arsenal’s first post-Wenger manager, Unai Emery. There have been a lot of rumors of the German leaving Arsenal.
Arsenal is constantly struggling in the Premier League this season.
Even though the results aren’t even that bad, with the Gunners at fifth, the performances themselves are underwhelming.
After years of enjoying Arsene Wenger’s attacking football, Arsenal fans now have to adjust to Emery’s pragmatic approach.
The Spaniard’s approach wouldn’t be a problem in itself it if brought great results. However, Arsenal are still around the places they were when Wenger left.
One of the main issues for Emery is his dispute with Ozil, as the situation is pretty unknown to outside viewers.
Paul Scholes seems to have found the solution, as Manchester United could have good use of creative German.
Talking to BT Sport, Scholes addressed Ozil’s issue, claiming that he could play at Manchester United.
“Man Utd could do with someone like Ozil who can link a team together,” Scholes told BT Sport.
“[He is] a player who can link teams together. He has got great quality, he’s shown that in his career.
“He could be an answer short-term, I don’t know. I think that would be up to him, ultimately.
“I can’t [see it happening], but he’s the type of player, short-term, who United could do with.”
The highest-paid player in Arsenal’s team didn’t even make the squad for Europa League.
This could be the straw that broke the camel’s back, as the rumors of Ozil keen to leave Arsenal are getting bigger each passing day.
