The young man, who made his debut for the international team of Ireland in the game against Moldova in October, has shared that besides a promotion in the Premier League, he also dreams of starting for his national team in the game against Turkey on Friday.

Sean Maguire, who spent his teenage years playing at West Ham, barely got a game while playing for Dundalk in the League of Ireland. However, as soon as Cork City signed him, it was Dundalk that were sorry – he managed to score 20 goals for them last season for Cork City.

Maguire was then acquired by Preston during the summer transfer window and was capped at senior level for his home country just three months later.

During this season, he has scored seven times in his last seven appearances.

“I’ve come a long way from this time last year. I think it was six games into the season and I’d scored six goals, but to look a year after and here in the international set-up and scoring a few goals for Preston…,” Maguire shared, ahead of the international fixture at Antalya, according to SkySports.
