Cristiano Ronaldo will make his Serie A debut against Chievo Verona on August 19 as Juventus bid to record an eight successive league title
The fixtures for the upcoming season of the Serie A championship were announced on Thursday with all eyes on who Ronaldo will be starting against, as he embarks on a “new challenge” in Italy.
And it was revealed that Juventus’ opening day opponents would be the troubled Chievo, who only were nearly relegated to the Serie B last season.
Ronaldo will, therefore, make his Serie A debut at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi, which has a capacity of just over 31,000.
Meanwhile, Portuguese superstar’s first home game at Juventus’ Allianz Stadium will likely be against Lazio the following week on August 28.
However, last season’s runners-up Napoli, who finished just four points off Juventus, will be first ones to face Simone Inzaghi’s side in what will probably be a tricky encounter for new boss Carlo Ancelotti in his first competitive match in charge of the Light Blues.
The former Real Madrid boss will then face another difficult trip to his old club AC Milan.
AS Roma, who finished in third last term, will begin at Torino, while Inter Milan are set to travel to Sassuolo.
The recently taken over AC Milan will begin their new era under Elliot Managment at the San Siro against Genoa.
