Italian Serie A is definitely the place to be for many top players and after de Ligt’s move to Juventus, a lot more is bound to happen.
Clubs in Italian Serie A should be taking heart from the fact that some of the best players are keen on plying their trade in Italy. The country is experiencing something of a resurgence and it can only bode well for the league.
Roma set to sign Vertout
AS Roma have reached an agreement with Fiorentina that would see them sign Jordan Vertout. The midfielder had been linked with the Lupi for quite a while and Paulo Fonesco would be eager to see a player who might help the club set things in motion in the Serie A next season.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the player is set for a medical tomorrow and is likely to earn 2.5 million Euros per season.
Daniele De Rossi set to join Boca Juniors
Daniele De Rossi is set to officially say arrividerci to the Italian Serie A. The combative midfielder is finally going to sign for Argentine giants Boca Juniors. The veteran is set to sign a deal that will keep him at the Bombonera until March 2020.
Tomorrow evening, the Roma legend will leave from Fiumicino for Buenos Aires where he will sign the contract. Boca Juniors have already made arrangements to organize a huge welcome party for the World Cup winner.
And while he was not given a proper farewell by the club that he loved so much, De Rossi is going to get a lot of love from the club and its crazy supporters.
Napoli make case for Pepe
While Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on Nicolas Pepe, it appears that Carlo Ancelotti is also eager to bring the Ivorian to Serie A. The winger is keen on leaving Lille this summer and might not be against the idea of joining a team where he might become part of history.
