Sevilla manager Pablo Machin wants his players to return their full focus to the league after they booked a spot in the group stages of the Europa League
Goals from Maxime Gonalons, Martin Nespor and Wissam Ben Yedder sealed Sevilla’s place in the group stages with a 3-0 win in the return leg following up last week’s 1-0 victory away at the Czech Republic.
“The most important thing is to make the overall balance, that no one forgets that we have passed three qualifiers with all the circumstances that entail,” said Machin, as stated on AS.
“We went through a lot of solvency, especially as a team, the Sigma was a very tough opponent, it has merit.
“It was the goal set, it was inescapable, now we think about La Liga.”
This Sunday will play host to the big Andalusian derby between Sevilla and rivals Real Betis.
Machin added: “We already know the derby even if it was in another city, it’s the Sevilla game and the fans live it intensely, we want to give our fans joy and we must be a competitive team.”
Sevilla are currently third in La Liga.
