Sporting director Joaquin Caparros would not rule out a transfer for Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata to Sevilla

Los Rojiblancos parted with Colombian Luis Muriel on a season-long loan deal to Fiorentina earlier this week.

Therefore, Sevilla are short of options up front and have since been linked with a surprise move for Morata.

In his 18 months of Premier League football, Morata has failed to make an impact with just 16 goals in 47 English top-flight games.

MLS All-Star Game – Partly Good and Partly Bad

The MLS All-Star Game, an annual soccer event where select players from the league play against a team from one of the top European leagues got invited to face them.

Due to this, Chelsea are reportedly prepared to part with the former Real Madrid player this month with Sevilla being touted as a potential destination.

“We are working on many names,” said Caparros on Daily Mail, when quizzed about Sevilla’s interest in Morata.

“The important thing is that the player wants to come to Sevilla.”

Although it’s understood that any potential deal for Morata hinges on Chelsea signing Gonzalo Higuain, who is currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus.
