Sevilla have sent David de Gea a cheeky message ahead of their second leg against Manchester United in the Champions League
The two sides met at Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium and played out a goalless draw with the hosts having emerged as the stronger of the two sides. Although they were unable to convert any of their chances with De Gea having pulled off a number of remarkable saves to keep United in the game.
Sevilla are looking to make the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in 60 years and, ahead of the decisive second leg at Old Trafford, they sent De Gea a message on Twitter.
“Keep your best stuff for the
@FIFAWorldCup this time
“Thanks, Sevilla FC” read the message.
Manager Vincenzo Montella has confirmed that they will be without Jesus Navas with Sebastien Corchia also absent.
It is looking increasingly unlikely that Sevilla will qualify for next season’s Champions League as the Andalucian side are currently 11 points outside the top four places in La Liga with 10 games remaining.
