Shakhtar Donetsk v Basel is not the most eye-catching Europa League fixture but the entertainment value in the match might surprise many.
Shakhtar Donetsk booked their place in the Europa League quarter-finals following a 3-0 win over Wolfsburg on Wednesday.
FC Basel, meanwhile, advanced to the Last eight-stage courtesy of 4-0 aggregate success against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The two quarter-finalists are now set to collide against each other in the one-legged semi-finals of the competition on Tuesday night in Dusseldorf, Germany at the VELTINS-Arena.
Shakhtar Form & Team news
Form: Shakhtar enjoyed another brilliant 2019/20 league season, winning the Ukrainian Premier League with a massive 23-point margin. The fact that they have not lost a single match in any competition since mid-March gives a great insight into their form.
Team news: Davit Khocholava will miss out on the match due to suspension, meaning that Serhiy Bolbat could start at the back. Mykola Matviyenko trained separately from the team. Other than that, the Ukrainian side have a fully fit squad heading into the match.
Basel Form & Team news
Form: Basel endured disappointment in their domestic league, finishing third behind Young Boys and St Gallen. However, the fact that their league ended just this month could serve them some advantage.
Team news: The Swiss side will be without Eray Comer, who picked up a red card in the match against Frankfurt. Jonas Omlin still remains on the sidelines due to a fitness issue, and so do Ramires and Luca Zuffi.
