Former Ajax captain Siem De Jong has advised young Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt to sign for FC Barcelona.
De Ligt showed why he fully deserved the European Golden boy award when his headed goal proved to be the difference between Ajax and Juve.
With most clubs seeking his services, former Ajax skipper De Jong feels Catalan giants Barcelona will be a good fit for the defender.

Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong has already signed for Barca and the Catalans want the defender to follow suit.
“I’ve heard a lot of stories about clubs that want to buy him,” De Jong, currently on loan at Sydney FC told Sport-English.
“I understand (what it’s like). He’s a young boy but very physically strong. He’s got a good head and he’s a good lad and good for the team.
“I’m not sure where he’ll go, he has various options, it will probably be a big club. One of my favourites is Barcelona, I wouldn’t mind seeing him there!”

Juventus are also linked to the Ajax defender with Serie A giants keen on launching a bid for De Ligt.
Ajax will face English side Spurs in the last four of the Champions League and will be fired up to make it title number five having gone this far in the competition.
