The Blues’s footballers will take a two-week rest after they don’t have any game for the next 15 days.
With two weeks to relax, think and mainly to help them get on track, Everton will return to action on Tuesday, 26 February.
The Blues have lost their last three matches, with their last win being on 29 January, when they defeated Huddersfield Town, who are dead last on the English Premier League Table.
Everton then lost 3-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers, then 2-0 against Manchester City and 1-0 against Watford.
And these two weeks should be used to improve says manager Marco Silva.
“It is one of the areas where we have to be more consistent, to create more chances to score,” he told the club’s official website.
“When you are not playing with the same confidence…. and you have to put some creativity in your game, the final decision in attack does not always come.”
“It is up to us to work on that and to create more chances to score,” he continued.
Idrissa Gana Gueye has been great for the team lately, and Marco Silva knows this.
“He is really aggressive, he is fast in both transitions [attack and defense] and it is important for us,” he said.
“With him there, we can have the other players freer to support the attack.”
“He has been really important for us since the beginning of the season. And he was last season also,” he commented.
“He is playing well and he is doing a good job.”
Everton is sitting in the ninth position of the English Premier League table with 33 points.
The Blues have won nine matches out of 27, drew six and lost 12.
