Cristiano Ronaldo serves as an inspiration both as a footballer and as a person for his work ethic is incredible, suggests Bernardo Silva.
It is no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most, if not the most, hard working, motivated, and disciplined footballer players in the world.
A combination of the aforementioned set of qualities, his immense talent, and being intelligent enough to change his playing style has helped Ronaldo transgress the natural order of things and remain at the top level despite having entered the twilight of his career.
At an age where most players start considering hanging up their boots or suffer a sharp decline, the 35-year old continues to be a talismanic presence in the Juventus line-up, leading the club’s this season’s goalscoring charts with 25 strikes to his name.
Bernardo Silva recently gave an insight on his compatriot’s obsession concerning his fitness levels while also expressing his admiration of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
“It will be something special and unique to tell my kids and grandkids I was able to give him some assists. He’s an example on and off the pitch,” Silva told on BBC’s 606 Savage Social podcast.
“With Portugal, we train in the morning. In the afternoon everyone plays cards or PlayStation, but he goes to the gym.
“In the big moments, when you need him the most, he’s always there.”
