The Everton manager was clear to say that Idrissa Gueye is set to stay with the English Premier League for the next season.
Everton signed Fabian Delph from Manchester City during this summer transfer window.
But this only fueled rumors that Idrissa Gueye might be leaving the club.
Which made the Blues boss Marco Silva to come out to say he is not leaving.
“Gana (Gueye) is still our player and, of course, if we lose Gana then we have to sign a player to replace him because you are talking about one player playing almost all of the games in our squad,” Silva said according to Sky Sports.
“If it will happen then we have to replace him, it is not because we have signed Fabian Delph.”
“I have to talk with him and show him how he is an important player for us,” he concluded.
Delph joins Everton after four unsuccessful years with Manchester City where he couldn’t make an impact.
Before that, he played for Leeds United and Aston Villa.
