Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone is ready to play the next chapter of his career as his team is set to start La Liga without Antoine Griezmann.
Life after Antoine Griezmann starts now for Atletico Madrid, as they set to begin their 2019-2020 Spanish La Liga season.
And for manager Diego Simeon, he will only take step by step.
“Our objective is to keep improving day by day,” Simeone told Marca.
“We’re a team with many new players that have to adapt and engage in what Atletico Madrid is.”
The Argentinean explained: “They are doing well and are responding accordingly to what we’ve been working on, but we’re focused on the immediate goal, which is Getafe.”
“You’ll have to ask the directors, I’m just focussing on Getafe.”
“We would all like it [to have our squads finalized],” he added.
“It would be much healthier from a mental perspective to be able to focus on those who are definitely going to be with you, but we have to wait.”
“In September there may still be news,” he commented.
“Joao Felix has an open mind to learn and listen, he is learning our collective concepts.”
“He has what he will show on the pitch when chances come,” Simeone concluded.
