Simone Inzaghi is set to be rewarded by Lazio with a new three-year deal worth €2.5m per season, as per a report from Italy.

Inzaghi is set to see his good achievements with Lazio rewarded with a new contract extension.

The 44-year-old manager is on a current contract at €2m a year, which runs out in June 2021.

Previously only at €1.3m per season before it was improved, Inzaghi could yet get another extension and increase in his wages.

The club is pleased with his performances and already sees him as one they want to lead the club going forward.

Sky Sport Italia report that Inzaghi would now get €2.5m per season plus extra bonuses with a contract that could run until 2024.

Bonuses would include club achievements in the League table or certain milestones in European competitions.

This season, Lazio and Inzaghi have done the impossible by rising to only second place and just a solitary point behind Juventus after 26 games.
