Time to talk about a report from The Mirror that reveals Sir Alex Ferguson’s reasons for wanting Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to keep the job permanently.

Now that Manchester United has gone a total of 11 Premier League matches unbeaten under OleGunnar Solskjaer, Sir Alex Ferguson knows now more than ever that he wants his former pupil to remain as the manager.

The last match between Liverpool was very revealing to everybody, as Solskjaer met with extraordinary circumstances after several injuries took place during the first half and forced him to act quickly under pressure.

The reaction from Ole and the result he got in the end despite all the setbacks, are the main reasons why Sir Alex Ferguson is desperate for the Manchester United board of directors to reach a decision about the Norwegian’s future and wants them to sign him as the permanent manager as soon as possible.

But this is not the only reason why the former Scottish manager wants this to happen so quickly, there are a number of details to consider that have earned Ferguson’s complete respect towards Solskjaer.

Since the new boss took control after replacing Jose Mourinho, there is a number of traits that have been recovered for the Red Devils that Sir Alex simply adores.

The Mirror reports inside information about the many requests from the Scottish manager that have become a reality, he wanted several of the traditions from the club to remain after his departure but they began getting lost as time flew by and other managers wanted to come and leave their respective mark on the squad.

After David Moyes failed to keep winning with the squad, along came Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, who are arguably two of the most arrogant managers in football history.

The Dutchman came first and he did get some good results in regards to new talent, something that Sir Alex Ferguson really appreciated from him.

Mourinho was very different, his arrival completely deviated Manchester United from their many traditions, this is a manager who values getting the result before he makes the team play offensive football and this is something that absolutely nobody appreciated.

Mario Gotze and Jurgen Klopp met for the first time at Borussia Dortmund, and the German midfielder explains how this was.

The Portuguese manager did win important trophies during his first season with the club, this filled the fans with confidence but they still wanted the squad to dominate their opponents and not lose those characteristics that made Manchester United one of the best clubs in English football.

The pressure was too much for Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson did feel relieved that the clubs finally decided to let him go in order to bring somebody new, the Scottish former manager was thrilled to know that one of his former pupils would take the job as a caretaker and the results have been simply spectacular.

Even before the 0-0 against Liverpool, there were reports of Sir Alex Ferguson talking directly to the Glazer family about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s future, his argument was that clearly the Norwegian manager knows how to continue his traditions and he even brought several of his former disciples to continue the work that he left back in 2013.

Hope is finally not lost for Manchester United, they can say that they are finally back on track with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Sir Alex Ferguson is the one person who could finally influence the board’s decision to get him to keep the job.

There is still no date for a possible announcement, but the reunions between the club and the new manager are being held this week and we might know something concrete very soon.
