Milan Skriniar shined in the last couple of season playing for Inter as the team’s primary centre-back option.
The arrival of Antonio Conte brought a lot of changes to Inter.
Nainggolan and Icardi were sold at the manager’s request, and the team started playing in 3-5-2 formation.
This meant a big change for the centre-backs, especially Skriniar who was the team’s anchor at the back.
The Slovakian, despite the obstacles, is adapting well, helping his team to keep up with Juventus at the top of Serie A.
Skriniar’s prowess on the ball attracted a lot of offers from Europe’s top clubs, including Barcelona, Bayern, Dortmund, and many others.
Ahead of Inter’s big Champions League match against Dortmund, Skriniar was asked about these rumors, to which he, according to Calciomercato, replied:
“I’m very satisfied here, I feel very good. I have a very good relationship with the fans. I don’t miss anything here and I play regularly for this reason I chose this club. I don’t plan to make any transfers.
“The interest of other clubs for me? A lot is written on the Internet, so some news reaches me too, but it doesn’t bother me.
“Personally, I didn’t get any offers, but there were names in the media from clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United and Barca.
“What if I had received an offer from Bayern or Borussia? Of course, you always think about getting an offer from these clubs.
“But it would depend more on my situation at Inter and the role and importance I have here. If you were always on the bench, it would be hard to say no.”
