Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari revealed he will deal with Gareth Bale privately after he was pictured leaving early in their 2-0 defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday

Bale, who is currently sidelined with a calf muscle problem, was caught driving away from the Santiago Bernabeu in the 78th-minute of the game while Real were attempting to launch a comeback from a goal down.

Ruben Pardo then later headed in a second goal to hand Sociedad a shock 2-0 win in La Liga and a sixth defeat for Real.

But Solari would not share any details on whether or not he plans to discipline Bale for leaving the match against Sociedad early.

“We will solve these things in private,” said Solari on Bale, according to AS.

Vinicius Junior’s penalty appeal being waved away with no VAR intervention left the entire Real team fuming afterwards in their defeat to Sociedad.

But the technology will be used for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey last-16 clash against fellow Madrid side Leganes.

“It all depends on the rules being more clear than the technology,” said Solari on VAR.

“If the rules are applied in the same way then it doesn’t really clear things up. Sometimes as a spectator, I don’t understand how it works.

“They will perfect it. The other days they were no complaints, just us defending ourselves, which is outright.”

Los Blancos will face off against Leganes at 21:00 (CET) on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabeu.
