Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Solly March is happy with his central position, saying it will improve his understanding of football.
March came up through the Brighton youth team system as a winger but has now started the last five league games playing behind a striker.
The 24-year-old provided two assists for Lewis Dunk in their last two games against Everton and Cardiff City.
“I’ve got a couple of assists now in that position and it’s a role I’m enjoying – it’s felt more successful in the last few weeks which is to be expected, so the more I play it the better I’ll get,” March told the club’s website.
“It’s about learning the differences in positioning between there in the more central role as opposed to out on the wing.
“It’s about learning when and where to get on the ball in certain areas, but there’s also work to be done there, out of possession especially – about when to press and when to pick up certain players, but it’s getting better all the time.”
