The Manchester United manager is hopeful his squad has enough quality in the attack for tomorrow’s FA Cup Fifth Round match.
Without Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial, Manchester United will face Chelsea tomorrow in the FA Cup Fifth Round.
The winner will qualify to the tournament’s Quarterfinals.
And for Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his team has enough quality in the attack to win Monday’s match.
“It changes when you get injuries, obviously, but no it’s not going to be a massive difference to what I did imagine,” Solskjaer said as reported by Sky Sports.
“We beat Arsenal in the last cup round without Anthony and without Rashy [Marcus Rashford]. Now, it’s without Anthony and Jesse, so I’m sure we’ll conjure up something.”
“[Alexis Sanchez] wins the ball, there’s energy there and, if he can just get that goal, hopefully, it will release some of his confidence,” the Norwegian continued.
“I’ve been here for two months now with him and he’s been injured for the first part of it, so it’s unfair to just expect him to be at the top straight away. I’m sure we’ll see the best of him until the end of the season.”
“Romelu Lukaku gives us something else than Jesse and Anthony, so don’t worry,“ Ole added.
”He’s made an impact before. He did really well in the FA Cup, him and Alexis last time, so let’s see.”
In the English Premier League, Manchester United is currently in the fourth position of the table with 51 points.
The Red Devils have won 15 matches out of 26 opportunities while drawing six and losing five.
Sir Alex Ferguson is returning to the Old Trafford dugout for a special #Treble99 reunion! 🙌
