Manchester United caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Paul Pogba is the best midfielder in the Premier League.
Pogba was widely criticised for his unimpressive displays during the final days of Jose Mourinho’s reign as United boss, but Solskjaer he’s keen to build the team around the World Cup winner.
The Norwegian’s appointment as the interim boss has coincided with an improved form for the 25-year-old.
Pogba scored a brace in each of the home games against Huddersfield and Bournemouth in the month of December.
The former Juventus star also provided an assist with a sublime through-pass for Marcus Rashford to score as the Red Devils beat Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium last Sunday.
A United source was cited in Daily Mail:
“Paul has been given so much encouragement from Ole and is working harder.”
“The new manager seriously believes Paul is the best midfielder in Premier League.”
“He has given Paul the licence to do whatever he likes. The team operates around Paul now.”
“He has told them all that if Paul plays well, then the team will do well in every game.”
