Solskjaer could give Alexis Sanchez one more chance

After the Copa America performance he offered with Chile, looks like Alexis Sanchez will get one more chance from Solskjaer.

Alexis Sanchez’s Copa America overall performance was actually quite decent, the forward might get a new chance from Solskjaer at Man United.

The Chile international scored a couple of goals and he was considered one of the tournament’s best players.

This player was nowhere to be seen with the Red Devils since he arrived, we are talking about a completely different player compared to the one from his national team.

Red Devils’ fans tend to forget, but Alexis Sanchez was actually great when he played for Arsenal.

The Chilean winger was on fire during his time with the Gunners but something happened as soon as he arrived in Carrington.

We can’t criticize Sanchez for not delivering the results everybody expected from him, it simply took him a while to adapt.

But most fans are completely fuming with his lack of good performances, Alexis is considered a major flop inside the club.

Last summer opened a new window of opportunity from him, but only because Solskjaer feels that he can still deliver something great to the institution.

If Alexis gets to tap into that potential he has, there will be nobody to stop him. Sanchez has the talent to become the best player in English football, this will be his very last chance.

“For me, as a coach and a manager, (his stature and track record) gives me great belief because we know what he’s capable of,” Solskjaer said on BBC Sport.

“We have to find that way – me with Alexis, with the team – because there’s a top, top player there.”

“And if we get him firing, he can get us 20 goals easily if he gets on a good run, and that’s the thing.”

“I don’t like to talk about individuals too much but Alexis, of course, has made headlines since he’s come here, and he had such a fantastic time at Arsenal.”

“We want to find him scoring goals at Old Trafford again, and that can give us an extra boost.”

“You see the quality, of course you do, and then you just hope that he’s going to get that consistency back in his game.”

“He’s got a good chance now. Obviously, he’s got three weeks off since Copa America finished.”

“Hopefully, his hamstring injury wasn’t too bad, I think it was just a precaution, so he’ll be up and running when he comes back.”

“There won’t be any players here I don’t want,” when asked about the club’s transfer strategy.”

“We’re still looking at one or two options, yeah,” he added.” But it depends on outgoings as well.”

“It might be more because if suddenly two or three will go, then you will have to replace players.”

Sanchez will get until December.

It is pretty much settled that Manchester United will give Sanchez one last chance, but they won’t hesitate to sell him during the winter transfer window if need be.

Even though Solskjaer is confident he can recover the player, Ed Woodward did give the Norwegian manager an ultimatum with the Chilean.

Manchester United can’t keep wasting the space they have with Alexis’ number ‘7’, the club also can’t keep putting this mythical number to shame.

There have been countless great players wearing this number and Alexis is staining it constantly.

The club’s board still keeps some hope with the chance of possibly getting that number to Jadon Sancho, who is United’s obsession for the near future.

The clock is ticking for Alexis Sanchez and his opportunity to convince Solskjaer, and it’s ticking quite fast.

After the injury he suffered against Argentina, the Chile star is expected to return in a couple of weeks.
