Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Manchester United players are in high spirits after returning to the training grounds last week.
Manchester United shut down their footballing activities and instructed the players to self-isolate themselves in the wake of the rising fears over the coronavirus pandemic in March.
Premier League clubs were only recently given green light to resume training sessions as the UK government began to ease the strict social distancing protocols.
Initially allowed to train only in small groups, the Premier League and the Football League have permitted clubs to resume full-contact training so as to speed up the resumption of the 2019/20 football season in England.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot wait for the plans to move to phase two after informing that the Man United players were delighted to return to training grounds.
We’re back in training which has been great. The boys have been fantastic, the weather’s been good and they’ve enjoyed it, said Solskjaer, according to the official club website.
Hopefully now we’ve proved we can do this safely and we can move to the next step. It’s been really enjoyable being on the training ground again.
Everyone’s looking sharp, everyone’s been in with a good mood and we’ve been splitting up in groups so [working in] fours and fives together and they’ve really done well.
