Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claims Manchester United were in control of the game against Liverpool.
Manchester United were helpless in the match against Liverpool after the league leaders managed to dismantle them with two goals in either half to inch closer to their first Premier League title in almost thirty years.
Despite the loss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has failed to see his side’s shortcomings in the match. Instead, he claimed that Man United showed that they were making progress.
Speaking to the reporters, Solskjaer focused on the positive aspects of the match against Liverpool. The Norwegian insisted that he lost to one of the best teams and he saw that as a sign of progress. He also added that Man United were in much better control of the game until the end of the match.
“We’ve lost to Liverpool, a team that you all say are fantastic and we’ve been in the game until the last kick of the ball,” Solskjaer said as per ESPN.
“And, for me, that’s strides forward. And of course we’re disappointed losing the game, we don’t want to be behind them in the league. But there were signs there that we are on the right track, definitely.”
