Ole Gunnar Solskjaer couldn’t provide a definitive response on Marcus Rashford’s availability against Liverpool.
Manchester United will travel all the way to Anfield to try and cause an upset for the league leaders Liverpool as they edge closer to clinching their first league title in over two decades.
The Red Devils, however, apart from the obvious disadvantage, could be without their in-form striker Marcus Rashford on Sunday.
In the previous FA Cup tie against Wolves, Marcus Rashford started on the bench. But he was brought on to replace Mason Greenwood, just before Juan Mata’s winning goal, to seal the match in Man United’s favor. Unfortunately, Rashford couldn’t last long on the pitch and was subbed off after suffering from an injury.
As per Sky Sports, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer feels Marcus Rashford will not be ready to face Liverpool.
“I can’t tell you now, as I said with Harry a few weeks ago. Of course, we’re going to give him the absolute time to find out and do some more checks and do some treatment today,” Solskjaer said to the reporters.
“Yesterday was a recovery day [but] I’m not going to hold my breath. I’d think he probably won’t be ready.
“It’s 48 hours so we’ll see.”
