Manchester United are a mixed bag of results this season, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is optimistic about the future at Old Trafford.
Solskjaer talked today about the potential of United’s front three.
Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and Mason Greenwood are showing some serious signs of improvement.
“We can see them three,” Solskjaer started, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.
“We’ve got them on long contracts, and we can see them developing into a very exciting front three.
“I was here with Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney, that’s what we want as United supporters and manager – you want to see them express yourselves, go to Anfield and put fear into their defenders.
“We’ve got Dan James here as well who adds to that so I’m very excited about it. “
Solskjaer then turned his attention to Liverpool’s trio upfront:
“The front three that [Liverpool] have got have been playing together for ages.
“Not ages but seasons now, and you can see the rotation, movements, understanding between them and we hope our front three will get that understanding in a while.”
It’s gonna be the clash of attacks, but the Reds are still heavy favorites coming into the matchup on Sunday.
