The South Korean traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to join his country’s national team for the rest of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur lost 1-0 against Manchester United in the English Premier League.
And Spurs’ Son Heung-min send a message to the fans as he gets ready to join South Korea in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
“This is football,” he told the club’s official website.
“We have to learn again and go again, harder and harder. We have to bounce back.”
“You know what? We’ve always done it… after losing we always come back stronger than before. Now we have to show our character again,” he added.
“We played better, dominated the game and created so many chances but if you don’t score, you lose.”
“Football is about scoring goals. It’s disappointing, of course. We deserved the three points but sometimes football is like this,” he commented.
“It’s a big game against China – it’s important to be top of the group.”
