The Croatian international was rumored to be transferred to Arsenal in the English Premier League, but now the transfer window has closed and he didn’t go anywhere.

Internazionale Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic was rumored to be transferring from the Italian Lega Serie A to the English Premier League’s Arsenal.

But the winter transfer window is now closed, and he didn’t go anywhere.

This is why Inter’s coach Luciano Spalletti has decided to support the player and ask him to grow up, work hard, and deliver good football for his team.

“Now the market has closed, he needs to rediscover the obligations that a footballer has,” Spalletti was quoted by ESPN.

“I don’t know if it was the right thing to talk about these offers that he had, but this is how the transfer market works and the player said he was interested.”

“In the end, nothing happened, but the fact that there was so much said about it created all of this. Now he’ll get back to training and as soon as he gets everything sorted out in his head, he will play again,” he explained.

Everybody is happy at Inter Milan

From coach Luciano Spalletti to goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, the team's footballers are delighted to have defeated Sampdoria 2-1 at San Siro Stadium.

“He had difficulty making up his mind because something was put to him which was just as big [as staying here] and it led him into temptation, and these are things that happen.”

The Croatian international started his professional career in 2007 with Sochaux B, he was loaned then to Roeselare for six months.

Then in 2009, he moved to Club Brugge, and two years later to Borussia Dortmund.

There he showed potential and was bought by VfL Wolfsburg, until 2015 where he was transferred to Inter Milan.
