The Ghanaian-Italian got a pleasant surprise from the Portuguese phenomenon on the occasion of his landmark appearance last night.

Emmanuel Gyasi has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo handed him his shirt during the half-time break of the Serie A meeting between Juventus and Spezia on Tuesday.

Gyasi was making his 100th appearance for Spezia last night. He was unable to celebrate his milestone with a win as the Eaglers were beaten 3-0 by the Bianconeri.

However, he was able to collect memorabilia for his special occasion as the forward got his ‘idol’ shirt.

“We said goodbye to Cristiano, he remembered me from the first leg and at the end of the first half he gave me his shirt,” Gyasi told Spezia’s official website.

“For me, it is a real honor since he is my football idol.”

Ronaldo also celebrated a landmark on Tuesday night as he made his 600th league appearance. The Juventus talisman made sure to commemorate it as he got on the scoresheet to become the first player in Europe’s top-five leagues to score at least 20 goals in each of the last 12 seasons.
