Manchester United are on the verge of signing Bruno Fernandes after the Portuguese club’s president agreed to selling his star player.

Bruno Fernandes could be announced as a Manchester United player later this week. While Sporting Lisbon are determined not to lose the star player on a bargain deal, Fernandes is keen on joining Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this summer.

According to Daily Star, Bruno Fernandes has already agreed personal terms with the club. This would be a major coup for the Red Devils who are desperate for consistent creativity from the midfield. And with Paul Pogba set to leave this summer, the Portugal international would be a valuable addition to the side.

According to reports, Frederico Varandas is willing to be reasonable and has agreed to discuss a move with United.

The sporting chief wants to get at least 60 million Euros for his star player instead of 90 million Euros that was initially touted. And with the player also wanting to leave, the Red Devils could be able to lower the asking price further.

Bruno Fernandes reportedly has his heart set on a move to Manchester United which means that the club’s president will be forced into allowing the player to leave on his own terms.

If this move happens, it will be a major blow delivered by the Red Devils following a dismal 2018/19 campaign. It would further prove that even without Champions League football, the residents of Old Trafford are a great proposition for big name players.

At the age of 24, Bruno Fernandes has a lot of room to develop. And following some sensational displays in Portugal and Europe last season, the talented midfielder is bound to get even better. And with the right coaching and football philosophy, English football could get to see a real talent playing next season.
