Jose Mourinho has apparently turned Tottenham Hotspur into one of the most boring teams to watch in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho was brought into Tottenham Hotspurs with a single primary goal, and that was to win a trophy.
The team had come so close under Mauricio Pochettino. However, after a poor start to the season Daniel Levy decided it was time for a change.
Under Argentine Pochettino, while the results were not always perfect, the football was attacking and free-flowing.
Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara told Talk Sport, he can barely stand to watch them play and is even tempted to watch the cooking channel instead.
O’ Hara said:
“The fact of the matter is that there is no excitement in the games anymore. Spurs are so boring to watch.”
“I was a big fan when Mourinho came in and it was like right, we’re going to win a trophy and I’m all for let’s just win a trophy, it doesn’t matter how we do it.”
“But actually, I’m now sat there thinking I have lost all excitement of watching Spurs.”
“Now I’m watching them thinking ‘I’d rather put Come Dine With Me on’.”
“They have been a complete bore to watch.”
O’Hara can see the “Special One” meeting a similar demise to Pochettino if things don’t change quickly.
“Give him a transfer window, see what he does next season. If he can bring a trophy to the club, then it’s been worthwhile.”
“Poch did turn us into a consistently top four football team. If we’re not going to be that all of a sudden, with that stadium and where the club is trying to go, then we have to get rid.”
Why not test your knowledge of everything Mourinho while were on the topic of “The Special One?”
