Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly earmarked Frenkie De Jong should Christian Eriksen decide to leave the club.

Real Madrid are understood to be interested in the services of Eriksen, who’s future at Tottenham remains far from certain.

Despite, host of interest in De Jong, Ajax are refusing to sell the Netherlands international, who’s a graduate of their famous academy setup until the end of the season.

Madrid, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are all believed to be preparing offers for the 21-year-old, while Juventus are said to have already opened talks over a transfer to Turin in the summer.

A report from Sports Mole says, Tottenham may have thrown their name into the hat as they are bracing themselves for the loss of Eriksen, who is a £100m target for Real Madrid.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are said to have already made contact with De Jong’s agent Ali Dursun to offer guarantees that they will match the highest bid for the midfielder.

The Dutchman, has featured in 20 games across all competitions this season, and is currently valued at around £67m.
