Alan Shearer has put a 12-month expiration date on Harry Kanes Tottenham Hotspur’s career if the club fails to lift a trophy.

Where the future of England and Tottenham striker Harry Kane lies is anyone’s guess given the current climate in North London.

Last season Kane and Spurs were so close to breaking the run of another season without a trophy.

Given the investment the club made on new players, it was thought this may be the season Spurs finally deliver.

It appears though that after the firing of Mauricio Pochettino, the appointment of Jose Mourinho and now a significant lay off injured, Kane may be on his way out.

Former England marksman Alan Shearer believes Kane may give his current employer a little more time.

However, according to an interview reported by The Metro, an exit from the club is not far away if things don’t change.

“My guess is, if he doesn’t win anything in the next 12 months then he has to leave.”

“He’ll do another year, I think, and if nothing comes in terms of trophies, then he’ll be off.”
