Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard says that the club is likely to sign one more player before closing shop this summer.
Steven Gerrard has already invested heavily in the summer transfer window. The likes of Filip Helander, George Edmundson, Joe Aribo, Sheyi Ojo, Jordan Jones, Greg Steward, Steven Davis and Jake Hastie have signed for the Rangers.
The likes of Eros Grezda, Jason Holt, Graham Dorrans and Kyle Lafferty meanwhile, are set to leave.
And once Steven Gerrard sees those departures take place, the former Liverpool midfielder is going to welcome at least one more player to the squad.
After losing the Scottish Premiership title to bitter rivals Celtic last season, Steven Gerrard has ensured that the new arrivals are well settled before the start of the next campaign.
And according to the Daily Star, the Englishman is looking to finalize one more signing before the club closes its transfer window activity for this year.
“We’re nearly complete in terms of the squad we are trying to build. There will not be much more activity there – maybe one,” said Gerrard.
“In terms of outgoings – yes, we’ve had a few enquiries and I predict there will be players going the other way.
“However, it depends on what the players want. I can’t really control whether they want to stay here or find themselves a different challenge.”
With Celtic having won the domestic title 8 times in a row, Steven Gerrard wants to ensure that they do not equal Rangers’ record of nine in a row.
And Gerrard says that compared to last year, he is much more settled in at the club.
“I’m more confident sitting here now than I was last year,” Gerrard added.
“There were a lot of new things happening last year – it was my first job and I was meeting a group of new players.”
