John Stones is optimistic that Manchester City can repeat their last year’s turnaround in the league.
Man City took a step further back in the title race in their last match. Pep Guardiola’s men took the lead twice against West Ham only to see it get canceled out both times.
Liverpool, on the other hand, look determined in the title race as they refuse to drop points. Man City sit eleven points behind the Reds after matchday 14.
Despite the huge gap, John Stones believes his team is capable of overturning their deficit. The center back urged his teammates to not lose hope and continue fighting.
“We need to look at our game and see what we did wrong. We need to be very open in how we approach the negative things and also the positive things we did today and see where we can improve,” Stones was quoted by Four Four Two.
“It’s such a short space of time between now and Tuesday, but it’s something we need to do and keep fighting to contest for the Premier League.
“That’s the main goal and everyone’s dream. That dream should remain and we still have to fight for everyone. I’m sure the fans and everyone involved in the club is doing the same.
“We can do it. It’s been done before, we need to be positive and keep believing in our team,” John Stones declared.
