Getting out of the Barca jersey, and possibly heading to another Spanish club, Denis Suarez did not hold back in discussing his strategy after leaving Camp Nou.
Barcelona was never meant for 25-year-old Denis Suarez. The professional Spanish midfielder recently stepped out with more than just news of his departure from Catalunya.
As a matter of fact, Suarez noted he is already thinking of possible transfer options. Interestingly, Celta Vigo is currently the most appealing option for the midfielder.
As of next season, we will no longer be seeing Denis Suárez on Camp Nou, but the player doesn’t stop there. Suarez, who also spent six months on loan with Arsenal, is now looking to cut all ties with Barcelona and most likely join Celta Vigo as of next year.
That said, Suarez has sparked the interest of other valuable clubs, including Valencia, which later pulled out due to financial misunderstandings.
From this standpoint, Suarez believes he will be just as happy playing at Celta Vigo. Still, regarding the subject, there has been no official confirmation yet.
“I’m going to leave Barça and Celta is an option. I’m convinced that I’ll play for Celta one day but I don’t know when,” he noted, according to Sport-English.
Not to feel sad, Suarez is a promising football player. And, aside from Valencia and Celta Vigo, other teams should also join the transfer race soon. If it comes to Suarez, he would prefer to stay in the Spanish league, regardless of appealing overseas offers.
“I’ve got offers from abroad but my priority is to stay in LaLiga. Playing in Europe is a priority too. But, there are other options on the table,” Suarez said while attending the opening of his summer school.
Hey, Barcelona may have lucked out on keeping him. But, Suarez is only looking forward at this point, as he should.
