Inter Miami are keen on acquiring the services of Luis Suarez and have even reportedly launched a transfer offer for the striker.
Joining the club from Liverpool in 2014, Luis Suarez has enjoyed immense success at FC Barcelona with having guided them to four La Liga titles and a Champions League among other major silverware.
Suarez’s current contract runs through to June 2021. It also has an option of automatic extension for 12 months if he plays a certain amount of games the next season. However, recent developments indicate that the extension option might not get activated.
According to Barcelona-based outlet Mundo Deportivo, Inter Miami have registered an interest in signing the striker.
The MLS side’s interest in Suarez is inspired by sporting as well as commercial objectives. His arrival will help Inter bolster their attacking options while it can also boost their fan-following among Miami’s Hispanic community.
It is not the first time that he has been linked with a move to the US. Back in November, Nicolas Lodeiro, who plays for Seattle Sounders, claimed that his compatriot is eager to play in the MLS.
“Sooner or later he’ll come to MLS. Well, hopefully. He likes the league. He’s always asking me things about it. I think it’s only a matter of time before he’s out here,” Lodeiro told MLSsoccer.
