Arsenal close in on Upamecano deal

The Gunners appear to have won the race for Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano. The 21-year-old Frenchman has been linked to Arsenal since last summer and has also attracted interest from other sides, including Manchester United and Bayern Munich. However, the Gunners might have beaten all their competition and would be allowed to pay the Frenchman’s release clause. (Tuttosport – in Italian)

Kepa running out of time at Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalaga is reportedly running out of time to prove himself at Stamford Bridge. The 25-year-old has not lived up to the £71m fee that Chelsea paid Bilbao to make him the world’s most expensive goalkeeper in 2018. The Spaniard now has about nine games to prove himself as Frank Lampard is already looking at some high-profile potential replacements.  (Express)

Werner is most definitely leaving Leipzig

RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann says German forward Timo Werner has no future at the club. It coincides with reports saying the 24-year-old has already agreed to join Chelsea and only a few details are left to make the transfer official. (Mirror) 

Edouard dismisses Arsenal rumors

Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard has dismissed rumors linking him with a move to Arsenal. The 22-year-old was a key figure as Celtic won their ninth successive Scottish Premier League title this season. The forward would want to be around to see them win the tenth as well. Just recently, Celtic boss Neil Lennon said that Edouard was in talks with the club to extend his current contract. (Daily Mail)

Juve confident of renewing Dybala contract

Juventus are confident of renewing Argentina forward Paulo Dybala’s contract, with the 26-year-old believed to be asking for a £11m-per-year deal. (Goal)

Sancho to Liverpool this summer isn’t happening

Borussia Dortmund squad manager Sebastian Kehl has dismissed rumors saying Jadon Sancho could join the Reds this summer. The 20-year-old has been linked to Man United for months and just recently Liverpool appeared to be leading the race as favourites. Kehl has said there is nothing to those rumors and Sancho would be playing for Dortmund next season. (Mirror)
