The Portuguese marksman leads the race for the Capocannoniere crown, with the Belgian sharpshooter not too far behind.
Romelu Lukaku is a “more complete striker” as compared to Cristiano Ronaldo in the view of former Juventus and Bayern Munich player Luca Toni.
Ronaldo continues to find the back of the net consistently during the late stages of his career. With 25 goals in 27 games in Serie A, he is among the frontrunners to win the European Golden Boot.
Lukaku, meanwhile, has also been in red-hot form this term. He is the driving force behind Inter Milan’s Scudetto charge, having netted 21 times in 29 league outings.
The numbers support the Juventus forward, but one of the greatest goalscorers of the start of the 21st Century rates the Inter man higher, explaining that he is younger and that he is more involved in a match.
“Lukaku is decisive for his team even when he doesn’t score goals, but CR7 is always world class,” Toni told on his TikTok page, via Football Italia.
“At this moment in time, I see Lukaku as being a more complete striker than Ronaldo, especially considering he is also younger.”
