The Argentinean Boca Juniors star is not happy the Copa Libertadores Final is taking place in Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium
River Plate and Boca Juniors will play in the Copa Libertadores Final on Sunday at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
This decision was taken by Conmebol after the match in Buenos Aires had to be suspended for an attack on Boca’s bus.
“It’s a CONMEBOL thing. This is a Copa Libertadores game and they did not consider neither the fans nor the players,” Tevez told Live Soccer TV.
“As a friend told me, CONMEBOL has three nutjobs behind a desk who have no idea on how things should be handled.”
“I apologize to the fans, this had nothing to do with us,” he added.
“I’m not happy having to play at the Bernabeu, it’s not a good thing for us players to be removed from our environment to play a game such as this one.”
“They took away from us the chance to celebrate in our bitter rivals’ ground, and they did the same to River fans, in case they were able to beat us,” he concluded.
