Florian Thauvin has revealed he has no intention of leaving Marseille, saying it makes no sense that he’ll want a move away from the club.

Florian Thauvin has ruled out any rumors of him leaving the club after boldly stating that he has no intention to do so.

The 27-year-old has barely played for Marseille this season, after injuries have seen him miss a large portion of the current campaign.

Thauvin is under contract at Marseille until 2021 and rumors have circled the Frenchman could be interested in an exit from the club.

The forward left Marseille for Newcastle back in 2015 and re-joined the French outfit after a disappointing debut season in England.

Thauvin says he had to fight back to secure a move back to Marseille and can’t see why he would go through all of that only to leave the club again.

“I can tell you now that the matter is over, because I see this talk going on every day and it can stop now,” said Thauvin in an Instagram live chat with Malik Bentalha as quoted by Football-Italia.

“You know what this club means to me. I fought to come back here and you think I’d leave straight away? Not to mention that I lost a whole season with this injury and we’re back in the Champions League, why on earth would I go now?”
