Bookmakers give Atletico a chance, but odds reflect an uphill task.

Despite having finished runner-up to Barcelona in the last two seasons, Atletico haven’t realistically mounted a title challenge in years.

BIG MOVES!

In a busy transfer window so far however, the Madrid based team have been very active.

Antoine Griezmann (Out – €120 million)

Lucas Hernandez (Out – €80 million)

Rodri (Out – €70 million)

Opinion: Zidane needs to spend big in the January window

Due to the lack of results in recent weeks, Zinedine Zidane will have to spend quite a bit of money during the January transfer...

Joao Felix (In – €126 million)

Marcos Llorente (In – €30 million)

Kieran Trippier (In – €22 million)

Ultimately meaning, it is hard to say what kind of Atletico team will show at the beginning of this season’s La Liga.

Nonetheless, the Spanish outfit will be hoping to be a part of the mix and feature in what looks set to be a competitive title race.
