This past week in football has been huge, whether you are a fan of the Premier League or the masterclass that is the La Liga, there is no denying that the games of the past week have been some of the best in a very long time. With this in mind, we have compiled all the details of the games you could have missed.

Liverpool vs Leicester City

When looking back on the last week of Premier League football, the face-off between Liverpool and Leicester City was the one to watch. With Liverpool’s Midfielder James Milner scoring in the 40th minute, this was the spark the team needed to come out fighting in the second half. However, this did not go according to plan as City began the second half strong. Though Liverpool had a number of shots on target, there was little that could be done to stop the all-out attack that city brought to the table.

This then saw them equalise in the second half with Ayoze Peres scores a lovely goal that raises the pressure for both teams. With the tension rising and fans becoming apprehensive on who would come out victorious, there was an onslaught of chances for Liverpool to come out on top. However, with the use of VAR in additional time a penalty was given to Liverpool with Milner stepping up to the plate to score the perfect goal that Liverpool needed to come out on top.

With there 17th consecutive win Liverpool has now moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League. This is huge for the team as the odds are now on Liverpool to lift the trophy at the end of the season.
