Real Madrid vs Granada
The final game that was one to watch this last week was Saturday’s game between Real Madrid and Granada. With the face-off between 1st and 4th in the league well and truly underway, there was little time between kick-off and the first goal with Karim Benzema scoring in the opening two minutes of the game. This attacking game lay continued through the first half and into extra time with Eden Hazard scoring his first goal for Real Madrid in the 46th minute.
The winning streak continued as the score became 3-0 in the 61st minute with a goal from Luka Modric delivering what appeared to be the final goal to seal victory over Granada in the second half. However, with a free-kick given to Granada due to a foul in the box, it was time for this newly promoted side to show what they were made of. It was a success for the team as Darwin Machis achieved a brilliantly executed penalty to bring the score to 3-1.
The game was not over and both sides continued to deliver outstanding gameplay with yet another goal being scored by Domingos Duarte following a corner in the 77th minute. As the scores drew nearer, there was a possibility of a draw insight, however, this was stripped from the hands of the opposing side with a final goal in stoppage time, taking the final score to 4-2 for real Madrid.
With gameplay that had many on the edge of their seat, this is a game was one to watch for those that love the fast-paced nature of the game.
With this in mind, it has been a faced paced week for football with some unexpected results and brilliant goals that are well worth watching and with both the Premier League and the La Liga league well and truly underway, there is no telling who will come out on top at the end of the season.
