A recent report from Diario AS talks thoroughly about why Zinedine Zidane doesn’t want Neymar for Real Madrid, there are two compelling reasons.

As Zinedine Zidane took control of his first training session last Wednesday, we already have some information about the reasons that the French manager will ask president Florentino Perez to give up on his obsessions with signing Neymar next summer.

The club’s chairman has been determined to bring the Brazilian player to Los Blancos for over a decade, which is something that has picked up steam in recent years after he left FC Barcelona.

Now that Zinedine Zidane has returned with more decision-making power than before, the French manager is reportedly doing everything he can to convince the president that Neymar is not needed at the club and other players will get more participation under his wing.

The price that Real Madrid would have to pay for Neymar is already quite insane, which is the most compelling reason for Los Blancos to try and find good players somewhere else and the perfect way to convince this new Florentino Perez who has moved away from his old spending-spree self.

It’s been a good six years since Florentino has agreed to pay the highest amount of money for a player, ever since Gareth Bale arrived at the club.

But apart from the unpayable price for Neymar, Zidane has a couple more reasons to not want him at Real Madrid.

Vinicius Junior

Why would you want a great Brazilian winger when you already have one on your squad?

Vinicius Junior was one of the few things that manager Santiago Solari did well during his spell at Real Madrid, the Argentine manager presented Vinicius to the world and gave us one of the most exciting young prospects in the world.

Zinedine Zidane knows that he is going to have to work directly with the player on his finishing skills, but this is nothing that cannot improve with a whole summer of practice before next season starts.

The French manager is reportedly mesmerized by the potential that this Brazilian youngster has and he won’t stop his development at the club, which means that he is not planning to bring another left winger like him because he is already sold on the idea that he wants Hazard and Vinicius on the same position after Gareth Bale leaves the club.

It would be really stupid to block this young player’s growth in the next few years just because of a whim by the president, Zidane was the only one who could convince Florentino to change his mind about Neymar and that’s exactly what he is going to do.

Opinion: Mbappe isn’t more valuable than Messi or Ronaldo

We need to talk in detail about Jose Mourinho's latest comments about Kylian Mbappe being more valuable than Messi or Ronaldo. Perhaps Jose Mourinho is...

Kylian Mbappe is the better option

The other compelling option to not sign Neymar is pretty easy to spot, Zidane would pick his compatriot Kylian Mbappe over the Brazilian star any day of the week.

Mbappe has the bigger room for improvement out of the two players and he already is one of the best forwards in the world right now, he’s even performed at an impressive level during the time in which Neymar has been out of any activity and he has done tremendously.

As of right now, Kylian Mbappe is by far the best PSG player of the season and he remains one of the biggest threats that Lionel Messi has on his race for the Golden Shoe.

Zinedine Zidane has already attempted to sign the young player in 2017, but Mbappe’s family advised him to stay in the French Ligue 1 for a little while longer.

Now that a little time has passed and Zidane as greater power inside Real Madrid, there is no doubt that Mbappe will love a crack at playing under one of his idol’s command for the next chapter in his career.

Plus, Mbappe would cost slightly less than Neymar because the Brazilian player has bigger prestige right now but that will change within a couple of years.
