Manchester United beat Bournemouth 5-2 and moved into the Premier League top four, for the time being at least.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United’s side put relegation-threatened Bournemouth to the sword at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils move into fourth in the league and will need Watford to get a result against Chelsea if they are to stay there.

United did not have it all their own way, as the visitors took the lead very much against the run of play.

Between Harry Maguire getting nutmegged and David De Gea being beaten at the near post it was a defensive disaster in the 15th minute.

United got back in their grove quickly though.

In 29th minute Mason Greenwood scored a banger to level things up.

Only six minutes later Marcus Rashford gave the home side the lead from the penalty spot.

The game was apparently all but over before the break when United’s third member of their attacking trio got on the score sheet too.

This time Anthony Martial making it three-one with an absolutely screaming curler.

His goal ensured that his partnership with Rashford was the first since Ronaldo and Tevez to bag 20 plus goals apiece in a season.

The Cherries came out all fired up for the second half. Scoring a penalty just minutes after the restart, and then equalizing only to see the leveler ruled out.

Greenwood got his brace, adding to his tally this time with his right foot.

Of course, no Manchester United performance is complete these days without a Bruno Fernandes goal.

The Portuguese superstar delivered from a delightful free-kick.

United take all three points and despite a couple of disastrous moments, they look a formidable force and contenders for a Champions League place.
