Liverpool could miss out on the Premier League title this season as the coronavirus continues to spread across Europe and could cut the season short.
Liverpool have done an unbelievable job in the Premier League this season yet all that hardwork could eventually come to nothing.
The Reds are 22 points clear at the top and have won an outstanding 26 out of their 27 games played this season.
That all but means the Reds are imminent champions and look set to win their first Premier League title in over 30 years.
However, luck might not be friends with Liverpool as the coronavirus could jeopardize everything as it stands.
In Italy, a Serie C footballer was recently diagnosed with the virus and in the top tier Serie A, the Derby d’Italia between Juventus and Inter will take place behind closed doors because of the virus.
In Switzerland, all top division games for this weekend have today been called off due to the same coronavirus.
Recent reports of the virus have also surfaced in Spain and the English FA are considering taking preautionary action.
As per the Telegraph via the Daily Star, it remains to be seen whether the remaining games of the season would be completed. That means Liverpool could miss out on the Premier League.
It might also mean the bottom three clubs might not be relegated as well.
