The Trinidad and Tobago footballer believes the game against the United States at the Gold Cup will be very important for both nations.
The United States was knocked out of them 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in 2017 by Trinidad and Tobago.
The Soca Warriors didn’t have any chances to get to the tournament in Russia, but they ended up defeating the Americans killing their chances to play there.
And now, they are set to play in the 2019 Gold Cup, and according to Trinitarian player Kevin Molino, the game between the two sides will be very good.
“We just need to get a good result, just make sure we don’t lose the game against the US,” he told MLS Soccer.
“But I think we have what it takes in the locker room to win the game.”
“They will come motivated, and come with an extra drive to want to win the game because of what happened in the World Cup qualification,” Molino said.
“We want to repeat that. We want to win again and qualify for the next round. Most important is that it’s not about the last result [in qualifying]. It’s about us trying to move forward in the tournament.”
“All of us were sloppy, and we have to rebound and go back to the drawing board, and work hard and keep fighting,” he added.
“I was happy to be here playing, the fan support was great. But overall, collectively, the most important thing is … we didn’t get the three points.”
