Thiago Alcantara is enjoying life at Bayern Munich and revealed he could remain at the club for many more years yet
The 27-year-old midfielder arrived in Munich in 2013 from Barcelona and has since become an integral member of the team.
Thiago’s tasted Bundesliga glory in all of his five full seasons at Bayern and will be hoping to add to that this term.
Now the Spain international has opened up on how things at Bayern have impacted on him.
“I’ve matured here, gained important experience and had the opportunity to enjoy football more,” Thiago told Goal and Spox.
“Life is made up of stages, and more years can be added to this stage, of course.”
Despite the domestic success though, Thiago is yet to win the Champions League with Bayern after doing so at Barcelona in 2011.
“We haven’t had the luck on our side against Real and Atlético in the last few years, but we’ll carry on. We really want to win that title although we know how difficult it will be,” said Thiago.
Thiago has managed 27 goals and 28 assists in 168 appearances for Bayern in all competitions.
The Spaniard remains contracted at the Allianz Arena until June 2021.
