Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has tagged his move to AC Milan in 2009, as the ‘most beautiful’ moment of his career.
Silva went on to win the Scudetto and amassed 119 appearances under his belt before completing a switch to PSG alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2012.
The Brazilian defender in a recent interview opened up about his move and life in Milan.
“The most beautiful moment of my career? My arrival at Milan,” the Brazilian told Football Italia.
“They were a team who I could only admire on TV. I loved their players, then suddenly I found myself in a dressing room with them: Nesta, Maldini, Pirlo, Seedorf, Inzaghi… in short, the whole team. Kaka, the colony of Brazilians, Pato himself…
“When I was a child I had the dream of playing in Europe in a big way, and I did that. I was so excited when I arrived at Milanello.
“It was Pato who showed me around, taking me around the training centre and dressing rooms to do the first medical tests.
“I kept looking around like a child. I looked at the photos of the stars and champions of the past. That day marked me as a player.
He went on to praise former Milan boss Leonardo for the impact he had on his career at the club.
“I owe everything to Leonardo, who made a great effort at the time for me to wear the Rossonero jersey.

“I remember my first friendly match against Milan. I was trying to make myself understood with the others and Seedorf arrives.
“He understood Portuguese perfectly, given he has a Brazilian wife. I asked him what could be the best advice from a veteran like him, he replied that I should learn Italian quickly.
“Being a centre-back, he told me that I should drive the defence and give directions to the midfield, so learning Italian was crucial.”
